Helen Pearson is a photographer based in New York City.

Born in England and raised in Detroit, Helen developed an obsession for music and pop culture at an early age. She began her career as a music journalist during college, and photographed her first concert while working on assignment for Rolling Stone in Sydney, Australia.

After graduating from Michigan State University, Helen moved to New York City and obtained an M.A. in Media Studies and Film at New School University. She quickly established herself as a music photographer, shooting famous artists and bands for national and international publications. She developed an intuitive ability to adapt to challenging lighting situations under music venue rules restricting her to shoot only during the "first 3 songs" of every concert.

Her work is influenced by a serious love for music, pop culture, and social context. Whether it's backstage at a concert or inside abandoned industrial spaces, the desire to bring you to places with limited access is a major theme of Helen's work.
